From the Ink and Switch article "Dynamic documents as personal software"(https://www.inkandswitch.com/potluck/), taking initially plaintext writing and gradually enriching them with formatting and computer-readable syntax and affordances like search and semantic annotations.
In this essay, we explore how it might work to apply this kind of gradual enrichment to text documents. People often jot down freeform text notes—recipes, schedules, workouts, chores, and more—using apps like Apple Notes and Notion. These notes contain meaningful information, like quantities in a recipe or weights in a workout log, that can serve as the basis for useful computations. How might we enable people to gradually turn these text documents into custom pieces of software?
We try and implement that within this workshop using the WikiBot and the Semantic Wiki, where Participants are encouraged to use wikilinks within their conversations to stash ideas for later curation into more formal and structured information. We are thinking here of gradual enrichment in the context of the Garden and Stream rather than strictly having Documents as a source, as we are thinking in terms of a collaborative process like the workshop :)

this is almost exactly the idea with the WikiBot that pushes to a Semantic Wiki, and good to have a name in Gradual Enrichment. looking forward to digging though the references and finishing that piece^ tomorrow. (and finishing the n-back linking syntax so I can just directly include the piece in the annotation that is this message). thanks for sharing 🙂
the idea is exactly to merge the Garden and Stream we have here, or as olde wiki culture called it, DocumentMode and ThreadMode in a process of Gradual Enrichment http://meatballwiki.org/wiki/DocumentMode http://meatballwiki.org/wiki/ThreadMode
